Painted in December 2024. The sky and motion of the painting gives it a dramatic tension. I first painted the sky and then it sat for a while in my shop while I pondered.
I can't remember painting the girl and the Blue fairy-wren. After it was done and I came to my senses the girl somehow reminded me of Andrew Wyeth's Cristina. Sometimes these mysterious paintings just come to you, just showing up and working usually does it.
