Jacobus J. Mol (Arjan)
Born 1969
Living and working in Axel, the Netherlands.
No formal art education. As a youngster dragged through the great art tempels of Western Europe, like the Rubens house in Antwerp and the Amsterdam Rijksmuseum, the Prado and Louvre. With Van Gogh, Rembrandt and van Dyck as my predecessors I humbly stand on the shoulders of giants.
I started taking my artistry seriously after I saw Kris Kristofferson quote a poem by William Blake, he did this from memory.
...'If you, who are organised by Divine Providence for spiritual communion, refuse, and bury your talent in the earth, even though you should want natural bread, sorrow and desperation pursue you through life, and after death shame and confusion of face to eternity.' - William Blake
I took this to heart.
